The Wahoo Kickr V6 is Wahoo's top model in bicycle trainers. An investment that is definitely worth it for your indoor cycling training!
We are very enthusiastic about the successor to the Wahoo Kickr V5 and it is one of the best bicycle trainers on the market. The trainer has a maximum power of 2200 watts and simulates slopes of up to 20%.
We can be clear about the volume of the Kickr V6. The trainer is quieter than your heartbeat, but of course not 100% silent. At high speeds you will hear a little noise from the flywheel, but generally it will only be your drivetrain that you will hear.
When we measure the volume of the Kickr Power we arrive at approximately 55-60 decibels, which is comparable to the Kickr Core. 60 decibels is the volume of a normal conversation and will therefore not really bother anyone.
The Wahoo Kickr V6 is compatible with any sports bike. As standard you can use the Kickr Power with Quick-Release axles. In addition, you will receive adapters in the box for all types of thru axles. Furthermore, the Wahoo is also suitable for almost all cassettes. The body supplied as standard can be used with Shimano/Sram 8 to 11 speed cassettes.
The Wahoo Kickr V6 uses both an ANT+ signal and Bluetooth, and is the first trainer ever to use WiFi.
You can see which connection is active via the indicators on the trainer. You can connect the trainer to all your 'smart' devices and also connect it to your home network. This ensures a perfect connection between your devices and automatic updates to the firmware. The Kickr is also suitable for every conceivable training app. You can therefore simply use the trainer for Zwifting, for TrainerRoad training or another training app of your choice.
+ Silent trainer. You will hear your breathing faster!
+ Most accurate ERG mode on the market
+ Responds immediately and provides a realistic cycling feeling
+ Legs are foldable and the trainer is equipped with a handle, making the trainer easy to store (quite heavy)
+ The trainer calibrates automatically
+ After an interruption in ERG mode, the power is slowly built up again
- Unlike other trainers in the top segment, the Kickr does not measure left-right power
- There is no Microspline body available (yet) for the Kickr
