What is the 3D Running Shoe Analysis?

The MotionMetrix 3D analysis is an advanced system that captures your running pattern completely non-contact. Using high-speed cameras and a special treadmill with force sensors, we measure:

Where can I do the 3D running shoe analysis?

Our 3D running shoe analysis at exclusively available at TriathlonWorld Meppel. In The Hague and Terneuzen we do not yet offer this service.

What does the analysis cost?

The analysis costs €29.95. If you buy a pair of running shoes after the analysis, this amount will be deducted from your purchase. This way you can be sure that you will walk out the door with the right shoes.

How long does an analysis take?

A complete analysis takes about 30 minutes. This includes the measurement, analyzing the results and a personal shoe recommendation.

Should I bring my own running shoes?

This is allowed, but not required. Bringing your current shoes does often help us better assess whether or not a shoe will fit you.

Do I need to make an appointment?

Yes, due to crowds, we have recently started working by appointment. Please contact customer service and we will be happy to schedule your running analysis promptly.

How is this analysis different from a standard gait analysis?

Unlike traditional gait analysis, which often uses only video footage, our MotionMetrix system maps your entire body with 3D cameras and a force platform. This provides objective data about your running efficiency, impact on joints and the stability of your ankle and knee position.

Can I come by even if I don't need new shoes?

Yes, the analysis is also available without purchasing shoes. Right now, the focus of the 3D analysis is on finding the right running shoe that fits your running style and posture. Team TriathlonWorld is working hard to also offer a comprehensive motion analysis in the future, where we will go deeper into running technique, injury prevention and running efficiency. For now, the analysis will mainly help you make an informed choice for the right footwear.
